Peter told those to whom he wrote that the end of the world was coming like a thief (v. 10). He wanted them to be prepared (v. 11, 14) because it could come at any time. Approximately 2,000 years later the earth is still here. Why? Let us notice three reasons given in the Scriptures as to why the earth has not yet been destroyed.
