Our society places a lot of emphasis on those who are poor – some sincerely, some with ulterior motives. God’s people are to be concerned about the poor (Galatians 2:10; Proverbs 29:7). However, despite the concern we should have, there will always be people who are poor (John 12:8). Yet when the Bible talks about people who are poor, it is not only referring to material things. Just as Jesus said that one class will always be with us, the others will always exist as well. In this lesson, we are going to look at what the Bible says about the three ways to be poor.
